Now we will hang up and attempt to call you back. After you hear the phone
ring (or your terminal displays "RING"), instruct your modem to answer. For
Hayes-compatible modems, this is accomplished by typing "ATA" (without the
quotes) and pressing the <ENTER> key. If necessary, consult your modem
manual for the correct command. (Don't pick up the phone when it rings!)
Once connected, you'll be prompted for your BBS password to complete your
verification.
Possible reasons for connection failure:
1. Somebody else is trying to call this board while we're
trying to call you.
2. Your modem or phone is offhook.
3. Somebody picks up a telephone on your end.
IMPORTANT: Allow at least 10 seconds for the modem to establish a
connection. If it fails, wait for the next call and try again.
(We'll make three attempts to connect.)
